The partnership will help Google power all its cloud services and operations by renewable energy, which will ultimately enhance the company’s sustainable growth.

Adani Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Group, has further strengthened its efforts to solidify India’s clean energy growth by partnering with Google. At the media conference, Adani Group added that it will now supply renewable energy from its new solar-wind-powered project located at Khavda, Gujarat.

The region is internationally well-known for having the biggest renewable energy unit. According to reports, the collaborative projects will be operational by the third quarter of 2025. AGEL develops, owns, and operates utility-scale grid-connected solar, wind and hybrid renewable power plants.

Adani Group’s executives have added that their company has the potential to offer cutting-edge renewable energy solutions for both industrial and commercial units. “We aim to help the industries meet their energy needs while decreasing carbon emissions.” A Reuters report also surfaced that AGEL’s new agreement with Adani Renewable Energy Three Ltd will provide electricity to an unnamed industrial and commercial customer from its newly established  61.4-megawatt renewable energy facility in Khavda.

On the other hand, Google also aims to provide 24/7 carbon-free energy for all its operations internationally. By the end of 2030, the global search engine firm is looking forward to reducing all forms of greenhouse emissions in the atmosphere by 50 percent. According to Google, the association with Adani Group will help them power all their cloud services and operations through renewable energy, ultimately enhancing the company’s sustainable growth.

AGEL has a total operational renewable energy portfolio of 8.4 GW, making it the largest renewable energy company in India. Spanning across 12 states, AGEL boasts of having capacity of 2,140 MW in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. With a target of 45 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, AGEL is aligned with India’s ambitious decarbonization and climate goals, contributing to the country’s transition toward cleaner energy sources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
