Fuel Max gas saver

In April 2013, Advance Technologies introduced the ‘Fuel Max’ gas saver, a device which saves usage of fuels like natural gas, LPG and CNG. When clamped on the fuel line, the fuel flows through Fuel Max, helping it to burn faster and more efficiently. This leads to an increase in the fuel efficiency by 20-40 per cent. The innovative feature of Fuel Max is that it comes in physical contact with the circuitry of the powerful rare earth magnets that it holds in a sequence to provide optimum performance. Once installed, the device doesn’t require any maintenance and is corrosion-free.

Batch weighing controller

In April 2013, Raj Overseas launched a batch/dump weighing system which uses an overhead type weighing system for the batch weighing of dry solids or liquids. In the case of dry solids, a product is typically fed into the ‘scale-mounted’ hopper. When there is a batch with more than one product in a single weigh hopper, each material is individually (sequentially) batched, since only one ingredient can be batch-weighed at a time. The control system encompasses the latest technologies and algorithms to ensure optimum levels of performance.

Its key features include a single/multiple load cell-range from 250 gm to tons, per batch; a resolution of 20,000 counts; an accuracy of one digit; drift of 100 ppm, and an enclosure of 96 mm x 96 mm.

iPEMS-ATM

In May 2013, Consul Consolidated launched iPEMS-ATM and ATMSure. The new solutions can improve the uptime and reduce operational costs of ATMs at public and private sector banks as well as for ATM service providers. The iPEMS-ATM (Intelligent Power and Energy Management System for ATMs) is a modular full service suite that can be deployed for both new ATM sites and retrofitted with existing ATMs. The iPEMS–ATM increases the ATM availability to as high as 97 to 98 per cent and reduces the energy bills by 25 to 40 per cent, apart from eliminating the need to man ATM sites, hence reducing the operational costs of current ATMs by another 25 per cent. The iPEMS acts like a force multiplier for the service managers, as they can call on real-time data for each location, monitor a wide range of parameters, generate reports and receive alerts via SMS and emails, diagnose potential issues and resolve problems proactively — like remotely rebooting hung ATMs, modems or CCTV DVRs.

Programmable bell driver

In May 2013, Perfect Electronics developed a programmable bell driver for colleges. It includes a built–in clock in which a maximum of 16/32 timings can be fed to the unit. So, a peon is not required to ring the bell after the end of every lecture in the college/school. If the mains power fails, the built–in clock operating on the back-up cell will ring and the programmed timings will not be disturbed. This system can also work as an electronic watchman (night timings can be pre-programmed) and an electric siren can be used instead of a bell. A load of 500 W can be connected, and for higher load requirements the company can customise designs.

Inline production system

In April 2013, GOEPEL Electronic upgraded its RAPIDO series of inline production systems for in-system programming and board tests, based on the latest Embedded System Access (ESA) technologies. The new model, named RPS3000-S32XL, provides an increased surface for multi-board panels up to 500 X 500 mm. Based on an enhanced SCANFLEX architecture with Short Wire Interface for up to 32 sites, it supports double-sided probing for up to 3000 nails. The RPS3000-S32XL was developed for fast and reliable in-system programming of non-volatile memories such as Flash, microcontroller (MCU) and programmable logic devices (PLD). The system additionally allows for the combination of programming tasks with test strategies such as boundary scan, processor emulation, chip embedded instruments or functional testing. These procedures can be executed in parallel on 32 boards integrated into one panel.
