Tuesday, June 11, 2013:

A power converter is an electrical or electro-mechanical device for converting electrical energy from one form to another. One way of classifying power conversion systems is according to whether the input and output are alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC). Power converters are usually required in portable electronic devices such as cellular phones and laptop computers that are supplied with power from batteries primarily, and in critical equipment like commercial and military aircraft, weapons systems, etc.

Here we feature some of the products that were launched in the last six months by the major players of the segment.
