Two-channel oscilloscopes

In July 2013, Pico Technologies launched the PicoScope 9300 series sampling oscilloscopes, which can perform pre-compliance tests, fault-finding, design, debug and margin testing on serial communications signals such as 10GB Ethernet, SONET/SDH STM64 and FEC1071, 10x Fibre Channel, InfiniBand and PCI Express. Their small size allows you to position them right next to the device under test, minimising cable losses and removing the need for expensive active probes or pull-out sampling modules. There is even a built-in signal generator with a 4ns minimum bit interval in PRBS mode and an 8ns minimum period in pulse mode.

RF reference signal generator

In July 2013, Rohde & Schwarz launched R&S broadcast test centre (BTC), which provides a complete testing environment for nearly all audio, video and multimedia applications—all in a single device. The RF reference signal generator generates RF signals for all global TV and broadcasting standards and simulates transmissions. The generator can also internally analyse the audio/video functions of DUTs in real time. The reference signal generator enables users to perform complete end-to-end tests in real time over all open systems interconnection (OSI) levels. DUTs can also be integrated into fully automated test sequences.
