Handheld base station analyser
In August 2013, Anritsu launched the BTS Master MT8220T, its third generation high-performance handheld base station analyser that has been specifically developed to improve support for 4G wireless networks as well as installed 2G, 3G and WiMAX networks. The MT8220T provides 20MHz bandwidth modulation quality for LTE eNobeB testing and is equipped with a high-contrast, touch screen display and backlit key panel, making it simple to use in both bright sunlight and dim conditions. The BTS Master MT8220T is small, lightweight and battery operated, making it easy for the technician to use it anywhere at a site.

A coating thickness meter
In October 2013, Arun Enterprises introduced a coating thickness meter, the CTG-01 by Metravi Instruments Pvt Ltd which is used to judge whether the substrate is ferrous or non ferrous and takes the measurement accordingly. It also has a USB PC interface. It has a measurement range of 0-250um with a resolution of 1um. It can also measure in the range of 0 to 49.21mils with a resolution of 0.01mils. It measures with an accuracy of 3 per cent. The diameter of the minimum area is 7mm. It can store 320 readings, has high and low alarm facilities, and ‘low battery’ and error indicators as well. It records AVG, MAX and MIN readings. It also has an automatic power-off facility.
