Panel mount enclosed power supply

In May 2013, Delta Electronics added a 24V panel mount power supply series to its popular PMC series. Power factor correction (PFC) is designed into this model, which operates at 24V output with a 150W power rating at a wide range input of 85 VAC to 264 VAC. Its active PFC of >0.99 at 115 VAC significantly improves the harmonic current levels to meet the EN61000-3-2 standard and also reduces energy consumption. The lightweight and tough aluminium body weighs less than 540 gm, and has a high efficiency of >89 per cent with a typical MTBF of 700,000 hours, which is one of the highest in the market. The rugged, compact metal and plastic cases are both shock and vibration resistant according to IEC60068-2. The product has several protection features against over voltage, over current and over temperature.

Green power UPS system

In May 2013, Socomec extended its range of Green Power 2.0 UPS solutions with 250kW and 500kW models. With 3-level IGBT technology, the Green Power 2.0 reaches 96 per cent efficiency in VFI mode (Voltage Frequency Independent). As a result, the Green Power 2.0 range complies with environmental protection standards, saving energy without compromising on performance and availability. With its unity output power factor (PF=1), the new unit provides users with full-rated 500kW power in accordance with IEC 62040-3, bringing total power capacity to an unmatched 4 MW. This makes the new Green Power 2.0 the perfect solution for the most demanding data centre applications.
