Mini power supplies
In February 2013, Recom launched its RAC03-SCR/277 series of regulated mini power supplies. Due to their round and flat shape, it is possible to implement simple and quick smart home solutions without extensive renovation works. The 11mm thick disks can be easily mounted behind switch-plates or within wall boxes. Thus, DC voltage can be also available from the wall socket, which is very useful for many home automation applications. The 3W mini power supplies achieve an excellent efficiency of up to 78 per cent. With the wide input voltage range of 85 to 305 VAC, they can be used worldwide. Output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 or 24 VDC with currents from 900 mA to 125 mA are available.

Sealed gel batteries
In February 2013, Fusion Power Systems introduced Amptek sealed gel batteries which are the ultimate lead-acid based solution for demanding deep cycle applications in E-bikes, wheelchairs, scooters, mobility, emergency lighting, any other application where heavy cyclic performance is required. These batteries feature the best in pressure safety release valves, computer controlled gel mixing, and multi stage vacuum filling. These features combine to eliminate voids and dead spots from forming on the plates during the manufacturing process which can lead to inconsistent life and reduced performance. The gelled electrolyte helps inhibit wear and tear caused by severe vibrations, and protects the plates in repetitive discharge/recharge situations. They offer excellent charge efficiency and are not current limited on recharge so long as the voltage is regulated.
