LED drivers for variable voltage LED lights
In May 2013, GlacialPower launched two new LED drivers for variable voltage LED lights—the GP-LD10-30C and GP-LD15-24C. The GP-LD10-30C and GP-LD15-24C are multi-use LED drivers fit for a wide range of implementations. They can be used on vessels or vehicles and with power sources with a fluctuating voltage. They have been designed to work well with solar panels for LED luminance. Included are many power and environmental ruggedness features to ensure maximum safety. Both drivers have been designed built-in constant current design with buck-boost topology, and a variety of safety cut-off features to withstand the harshest ripple in the supplied power. An integral component is the low voltage protector. If the input voltage is lower than the UVLO protection point, below the operational value, the device will shut down automatically, thus saving the connected lights.

Explosion-proof LED light
In May 2013, Larson Electronics launched a powerful and reliable explosion-proof LED light equipped with an emergency battery backup system and second generation LED tubes for enhanced performance and safety. The EPL-EMG-48-4L-LED-G2 hazardous location LED emergency light with battery backup, is approved under Class 1 Division 1 and 2, and offers more output and higher efficiency than traditional fluorescent fixtures. It is ideal for hazardous locations where fail-safe operation is critical. This LED light fixture is constructed like the standard four-bulb fluorescent fixtures, but provides 30 per cent more foot candles of illumination at 2.43 m (8 ft) than standard T8 lamps, thanks to the addition of Larson Electronics’ second generation LED tubes.
