In November 2013, CP PLUS India Pvt Ltd launched a range of IP based video door phones (VDPs) with advanced features that are based on the application of IP in home surveillance. Users can choose to save the audio/video in the IP VDP units as they have an internal memory of up to 4GB. The devices offer two saving modes—auto and manual. The IP video door phone range offers the integration feature, which extends the functionality of the system. Users can add and configure detectors for odours, gas, vibration, glass breaks and other sensors, to this system. These VDPs support monitoring of 32 IP cameras. The indoor unit comes with two options—with memory and without it. The former stores the images of the visitor. When a doorbell is pressed, the outdoor unit captures an image and stores it in the internal memory of the indoor unit.
