Tuesday, May 06, 2014: In March 2014, Semtech Corporation launched ultra-high speed ADC and DAC for advanced communication systems. These converters target the requirements of advanced communications systems including optical communications, radar and the electronic warfare markets. They enable agile operation and concurrent multi-band/multi-beam operation as well as extremely high dynamic performance, and are ideally suited for highly oversampled systems utilising large instantaneous bandwidth at low power and in small areas. The 32nm data converter cores are the first offerings in Semtech’s roadmap for more such devices. The Semtech roadmap includes a family of data converter cores in 14nm FinFET, which is expected to be available by the end of 2015.
