Mr. Amrit Manwani Takes Over as Chairman of ESSCI

The ESSCI – Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) announced appointment of Shri Amrit Manwani as its new Chairman to replace Dr. Ajai Chowdhry (founder chairman of HCL). The appointment was announced during the meeting of the Board of Directors of the council recently held at New Delhi. 

A veteran from the electronics industry and the Chairman & Managing Director of Sahasra Electronics Pvt. Ltd and Infopower Technologies Limited will be responsible for overseeing the operations of ESSCI and will work closely with its governing board on strategic issues related to the growth of the electronic systems design and manufacturing (ESDM) industry in India. 

Mr. Manwani brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience and the Electronics Sector Skills council of India will benefit from the direction and the energy, he will infuse into the organization to help it to achieve new heights and success.

He is an active Industry leader and has been associated with the ELCINA as President, ELCINA EMC Pvt Ltd as Chairman, MD with TEGNA Electronics Pvt Ltd., Greater Noida,  Director at QCI and is a active member of ICTE Committee at CII.

Dr Abhilasha Gaur, Chief Operating Officer, ESSCI said, “With a seasoned person of the calibre of Mr Manwani as the leader, the skilling up process will be further accelerated. ESSCI is a strong contributor in fulfilling the skilling needs of the vibrant ESDM sector in India. ESSCI works closely with Industries, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Electronics and IT), NSDC, NCVET to provide both skilling and re-skilling services to the industry. Over the years, ESSCI has successfully skilled over a million professionals for the ESDM sector and have a wide footprint across India.
