First phase of ESDM portal launched

The Union communications and IT minister, Kapil Sibal, has launched the first phase of the Electronic Systems Design and Manufacturing Portal (e-MSIPS) for submitting applications under the Modified Special Incentive Package Scheme (M-SIPS) developed by the DeitY, through the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).

e-MSIPS is a Web-based system for the online submission of applications under M-SIPS, the scrutiny of applications by experts, project grant recommendations and project monitoring. The e-MSIPS replaces the existing manual system of submitting M-SIPS applications in hard copies to the nodal officer, which are processed by the DeitY and presented to the appraisal committee for approval of incentives.
