Zypp Electric’s new franchise model aims to integrate EV assets and technologies to expand operations, offering detailed projections on returns and operational enhancements for potential franchisees in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
Zypp Electric, an Indian tech-enabled EV-as-a-service platform, has introduced ZyppX, a new franchise model aimed at integrating electric vehicle (EV) assets, processes, and people to facilitate operations across India and potentially overseas. ZyppX, developed on a comprehensive SaaS platform, seeks to empower fleet operators, logistics companies, and new entrepreneurs, especially in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, to adopt its franchise model. The initiative is designed to enhance operational efficiency through advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, and machine learning, providing tools for vehicle acquisition, rider management, battery swapping, and extensive data analytics.
The franchise plan begins with an investment requirement of INR 42 lacs, promising a 209% return on investment (ROI) and an XIRR of 68% for the first ten franchisees. This initial investment includes provisions for 40 Zypp electric scooters, with projections indicating a payback period of 20 months and potential returns of INR 88 lacs over three years.
ZyppX aims to address the growing global demand for efficient EV fleet management solutions in the $28 billion EV last-mile delivery market. The platform offers features such as real-time tracking, predictive analytics, and preventive maintenance to support sustainable scaling of operations.
Akash Gupta, CEO of Zypp Electric, highlighted the widespread interest from domestic and international markets in expanding Zypp’s presence. He emphasized that ZyppX is crafted to overcome challenges like high upfront costs and the necessity for data-driven decision-making within fleet management. The platform also promises rapid deployment, enabling partners to implement Zypp technology and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within seven weeks, a process that originally took Zypp seven years to establish.
Key features of ZyppX include leveraging Zypp’s seven years of experience in tech-driven solutions for mobility and logistics, a unified platform that simplifies the integration of various operational elements, and data-driven insights that facilitate optimized asset use and cost reductions. Furthermore, ZyppX promotes sustainable practices by managing electric fleets, which are less costly in terms of fuel and maintenance than traditional vehicles. The platform is designed to be scalable, providing flexibility and support for businesses at different stages of growth.
