Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited, a Tata Power subsidiary and Zoomcar signed a MoU to provide EV users with user-friendly charging with the help of Tata Power’s EZ charge points.
In Mumbai, an agreement, or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was established between Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL) and Zoomcar. The primary objective of this collaboration is to integrate Tata Power’s EZ charging stations with Zoomcar’s user community. Tata Power boasts a vast network of these EZ charging stations across India, a feature Zoomcar is eager to leverage. This collaboration is anticipated to encourage more EV owners to offer their vehicles on Zoomcar, promoting a shift towards electric vehicles.
Tata Power’s EV charging infrastructure comprises over 50,000 home chargers, in excess of 4,370 public and semi-public charging stations, and 250 bus-charging stations dispersed across 350 cities and numerous highways. Over the coming five years, they plan to set up an additional 25,000 charging points. Meanwhile, Zoomcar operates a tech-driven fleet with over 20,000 vehicles spanning India, Indonesia, and Egypt.
Zoomcar feels that their car-sharing platform is a good fit for EVs, and they plan to grow their platform by 50% by the end of 2025. This partnership can create an extensive ecosystem that can cater to the needs of EV enthusiasts.
