In addition to manufacturing, the facility also contains sophisticated research and development centers focused on design engineering and product planning.
Zen Mobility recently opened its new manufacturing plant in Manesar, which was designed with a yearly capacity of 50,000 units. This plant is primarily geared towards the production and assembly of Zen Micro Pods, the company’s premier electric vehicles crafted for city dwellers.
The facility extends beyond production activities, incorporating cutting-edge research and development centres that focus on design engineering and product planning. Additionally, it is equipped with extensive testing facilities, including roller and dyno testing, to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety for all products.
Namit Jain, the Founder and CEO of Zen Mobility, mentioned that with an order book reaching 10,000 units, the company plans to operate its plant in two shifts to meet existing orders. He highlighted that enhanced production capabilities and advanced testing infrastructures will aid in providing robust fleet management solutions to e-commerce and fleet enterprises.
He further added that the plant has been thoughtfully engineered to also support the future manufacturing of Zen Maxi Pods, their forthcoming multi-purpose 4-wheeler Light Electric Vehicles designed for transporting cargo and larger goods. This underscores their commitment to leading the development of sustainable urban mobility solutions.
Zen Mobility has forged partnerships with key players in the food, grocery delivery, and e-commerce sectors to deploy vehicles in over 10 cities across India. These collaborations enhance income opportunities for delivery riders and improve businesses’ fleet management.
The company has integrated customization features into its manufacturing processes to meet the specific demands of urban logistics, thereby providing customized solutions to its clients.
Zen Mobility distinguishes itself with its unique products, featuring patented designs and powertrain technologies. Trials for the anticipated Zen Maxi Pod are expected to start in the fourth quarter of FY25, with an official launch targeted for FY26.
