Zapp Electric Vehicles Group Limited has unveiled a strategic alliance with Bounce Infinity to produce Zapp’s i300 motorcycles at Bounce’s Bhiwadi facility, utilizing its substantial manufacturing capabilities and strong market position. This alliance is poised to enable Zapp’s rapid penetration into the Indian market, which ranks among the world’s largest for two-wheeled electric vehicles. The synergy of Bounce Infinity’s manufacturing prowess and Zapp’s cutting-edge design is aimed at providing high-end, eco-friendly transportation solutions.
Under the terms of the partnership, Bounce Infinity will undertake contract manufacturing duties for Zapp’s electric vehicles, aligning with Zapp’s stringent quality standards. This collaboration is set to streamline the production workflow and accelerate the timeline for market readiness in India. Additionally, Bounce Infinity will support Zapp in securing all necessary regulatory approvals to homologate the vehicles for Indian sales, with the goal of completing this process within 120 days from the effective date of their agreement.
Swin Chatsuwan, founder and CEO of Zapp EV, stated that Bounce’s manufacturing expertise and strong market presence in India are expected to accelerate ZappZapp’sroduction into major urban centers across the country. He also noted that the design features of the i300 are particularly well-suited to meet the demands of India’s economic landscape and its urban expansion.
Zapp’s strategy, noted for its lean and cost-effective approach, leverages contract manufacturing partnerships to scale up production rapidly without hefty capital investments. The i300 model is equipped with detachable, easily portable battery packs that can be charged using any standard electrical outlet, thereby obviating the need for specialized charging stations.
