- The factory has started production of its HT Mobility Smart Telemetry Battery XM5kWh
XNRGI has opened a High Temperature (HT) lithium-ion battery factory in Gurugram. This factory will have the capacity to produce 240MWh of battery storage each year.
The factory has started production of its HT Mobility Smart Telemetry Battery XM5kWh. It is used for rickshaws, e-bikes, e-motorcycles, solar and wind farms and telecom towers. The company has plans to scale capacity globally in the multi GWh range by 2022. It aims to do so by establishing strategic relationships in different parts of the world.
This factory will operate as XNRGI India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of XNRGI, Inc. It will produce XNRGI HT turn-key energy storage solutions (ESS). This will include battery packs, batteries, and energy management systems, optional tracking and remote status monitoring hardware. These ESS are especially suited for hot, humid tropical climates like South-East Asia, MENA (Middle East, North Africa), and the southern and central parts of North America. It is also working on building a similar ESS for other more mainstream applications.
Charge to 80 per cent capacity within two hours
As per the company, these XNRGI HT batteries charge to 80 per cent capacity within two hours and are in operation in excess 131 degrees Fahrenheit. The batteries can be remotely monitored and tracked for safety and charge status for rickshaws and similar applications.
