Xiaomi has launched its first wireless earphones equipped with the true wireless stereo (TWS) technology, reportedly, in a bid compete with Apple’s AirPods
Electronics major, Xiaomi has introduced its first set of wireless earphones called Mi AirDots Youth Edition in China. Priced at Rs. 2,100, the AirDots was launched in China and Xiaomi would explore the other markets across the world for its new product. The wireless earphone is reportedly brought out to compete with Apple’s AirPods.
TWS technology
The AirDots is equipped with the true wireless stereo (TWS) technology that can split audio in both the earbuds to provide a truly wireless experience. It also allows the user to pair two audio devices via the latest Bluetooth v5.0 with a touch zone on the earbuds. The touch zones allow the users to enable or disable voice assistant, play or pause songs and answer or reject calls.

Xiaomi claims that its Mi AirDots can produce deep bass and high-quality stereo audio. The latest Bluetooth version is said to consume less power and offer longer operating range. The wireless earphones can be connected to the older Bluetooth versions as well. It comes with a charging case and offers up to 4 hours of playback time on the stereo mode and 5 hours on the mono mode.
