West Bengal planning to set up twin electronics cluster

The West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation (Webel) is eying to set up two electronics manufacturing clusters at Falta and Naihati in the state.

The center has already given nod to the Falta project while, the Naihati project is yet to get the approval from the government.

West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation (Webel) is planning to begin the work by this year.

Webel ED (finance), Aninda Chatterjee made this announcement to the media on the sidelines of a CII event in the state capital.

The clusters will come up in an area of 58 acres in Falta and 70 acres in Naihati.

At present, the agency is working on 16 IT parks of which 11 has been completed.
