February 12, 2015: Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in West Bengal can now avail easy loans up to Rs 0.5 million through an easy credit system introduced by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee. The MSMEs in WB will be offered credit cards to avail loans easily.
Speaking at an event, Mamata Banerjee said that Bengal has launched micro business credit card for MSMEs in the state in association with the State Bank of India.
She further added that with the hep of the credit cad scheme, emerging entrepreneurs could avail easy loans without any collateral security.
Mamata also stated that a fund of Rs 2 billion has been made and facilitation and clearance centres have been established in Bardhaman, Durgapur, Asansol and many other places for facilitating speedy clearance procedure.
