In the presence of Hon’ble MeitY Secretary Shri Alkesh Kumar Sharma, VVDN Technologies has signed a contract with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), for manufacturing India’s first indigenously designed High Performance Computing (HPC) server- RUDRA.
As per the contract, the RUDRA HPC servers are to be designed by C-DAC and manufactured by VVDN. These servers are planned to be used in C-DAC’s ‘PARAM’ series of Supercomputers under the National Supercomputing Mission. Hyperscale data centres, edge computing, banking & commerce, manufacturing, etc. are areas that can benefit from this design.
VVDN, recently approved under the PLI scheme for IT Hardware has established a complete manufacturing set up with SMT lines capable of handling board sizes up to 850 mm x 560 mm. Tooling and injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, dedicated assembly lines, robust testing, validation and reliability have also been set up. The company also has its own IPs for OvS and SSL for network compute.
