Vivo’s Rs 66.9 billion Noida investment promises 22,000 employment opportunities annually, with the potential to double production and add 16,000 more jobs.
Vivo Mobile India has received a partial occupancy certificate for a 62-acre site in Noida’s Sector 24A from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). This site will house a significant new facility with a total built-up area of 1.6 lakh square metres.
It is part of a substantial project that is planned in two phases. The first phase will focus on producing 60 million smartphones annually and creating 22,000 jobs, while the completed project will boost production to 120 million smartphones and generate an additional 16,000 jobs. Vivo is investing Rs 66.9 billion in the initiative.
Of the 200 planned companies, 136 will be located in Toy Park and 81 in Apparel Park, with construction underway for several sites. These developments are expected to create around 200,000 jobs in Noida, bolstering the region’s economic growth and industrial capacity.
