Vinayak Bhat Promoted To Chief Product Officer At Ultraviolette

Before taking on the position of CPO, Vinayak held the titles of Technical Director and Principal Engineer at Ultraviolette.

Electric vehicle firm Ultraviolette has promoted Vinayak Bhat to the role of Chief Product Officer. This promotion aligns with Ultraviolette’s strategy to launch new products across various mobility segments in the coming five years, aiming at both domestic and international markets.

Before becoming CPO, Vinayak was the Technical Director and Principal Engineer at Ultraviolette. Since his start at the company in 2017, he has significantly contributed to the development of the F77 Mach 2 and F99 Racing Platform, managing coordination across product development, engineering, operations, and manufacturing.

In his new role as Chief Product Officer, Bhat will oversee the expansion of Ultraviolette’s product portfolio, guiding products from their inception and design to their development and introduction to the market. He aims to enhance the product range, according to the press release.

Bhat expressed his ambition to develop standout products for global markets by leveraging a strategy of vertical integration, particularly focusing on critical components such as battery technology, drivetrain, and vehicle architecture. He aims to set new standards and strengthen Ultraviolette’s position as a leader in global electric mobility.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-Founder of Ultraviolette commented on Bhat’s unique background in aerospace and electric vehicle technologies, noting it provides him with a distinctive perspective essential for fostering a culture of innovation at Ultraviolette.

Vinayak began his career in 2013 as a structural engineer at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), later moving to Safran Engineering as a design analyst. There, he worked on critical projects for major companies like Airbus and Boeing, focusing on landing gears, nacelles, and fuselage components.

Additionally, Vinayak co-founded a startup specializing in drivetrain and battery technology, furthering his expertise and commitment to the field of electric mobility.
