- Projects must fall within the 25 kW to 2,000 kW power range
- The selected bidders will be responsible for the project’s initial stages and undertake the operation and maintenance
The Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has announced a tender of 500 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects.
The project will be covered under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model and it is based on net metering, focuses on government/semi-government buildings and other institutions in Uttar Pradesh.
This project focuses the entire life cycle, including design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, warranty, and operation, for a 25 kW to 2,000 kW grid-connected rooftop solar system.
The last day for bid submission is January 2. The selected bidders will be responsible for the project’s initial stages and undertake the operation and maintenance for 25 years post-commissioning.
To promote domestic manufacturing, the bid specifications require manufacturing modules and cells used in the solar systems within India. Compliance with the current Approved List of Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules is also mandatory.
Projects must fall within the 25 kW to 2,000 kW power range, with the option for individual projects to include multiple rooftop units. Each unit can have its own grid connection and meter, but only one project per meter consumer number is allowed, capped at 2,000 kW.
Bidders must showcase their successful history in designing, delivering, installing, and launching grid-tied solar power initiatives and solar systems utilising the RESCO model to compete for this opportunity.
