Saturday, November 30, 2013: Right from e-governance schemes to distribution of 15,00,000 laptops to the students in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government is in the process of finalising plans for boosting the IT industry in the state. The government has invited industry leaders in Lucknow this week.
Jiwesh Nandan, principal secretary, Information Technology & Electronics, Mining and Additional Sources of Energy, Government of Uttar Pradesh and G S Naveen Kumar, special secretary, made the announcement.
The e-Uttar Pradesh event will kickstart from today and will be one of the largest IT-BPM events. It will give an opportunity to all the Technopreneurs, IT SMEs, IT/ITeS conglomerates, Hindi speaking BPOs, Business houses to unleash the UnlimITed Potential of Uttar Pradesh and build the state of Uttar Pradesh as the most favourable IT destination, reported TOI.
“The Government of Uttar Pradesh is now taking many new initiatives to attract major investments from Information Technology companies. The eUttarPradesh event will highlight the initiatives of the state in this direction and lead to lot of productive investments coming into the State,” Nandan said.
The event will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Akhilesh Yadav. The 2-day conference will witness deliberations on range of issues and strategies to improve IT infrastructure in the state.
