Toyoda Gosei Minda India Pvt. Ltd. (TGMIN), an Indian subsidiary of Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd., has started operation of its new automotive parts plant in Gujarat from last month.
The Gujarat plant will supply airbags, steering wheels, weatherstrips and other parts to Suzuki Motor Gujarat Pvt. Ltd.
With the increasing automobile production and stricter safety regulations in India, the demand for airbags is also growing in the country.
Enhancing production network in India
Toyoda Gosei has been enhancing its development and production network in India, a key market of the company.
It established a new office at Gurugram in April this year, with the intention to speed up business by locating engineering and sales operations closer to the head office of its main customer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited. These operations were previously situated at TGMIN’s head office in its Neemrana Plant.
Toyoda Gosei is planning to increase its sales volume in India to 35 billion yen by fiscal 2025, more than twice the current level.
Headquartered in Kiyosu, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, Toyoda Gosei is a leading specialty manufacturer of rubber and plastic automotive parts.
Currently, the Toyoda Gosei Group provides a variety of high-quality products internationally, with a network of approximately 100 plants and offices in 18 countries and regions.
