Toshiba is eyeing the rising audio market to build a stronger image with the support of online and offline network in India
Japanese electronics firm, Toshiba, has planned to achieve around $1 billion in the audio products market in India by 2020. Santosh Varghese, vice-president of Toshiba Gulf FZE views that the growing smartphones market in India will open ample scope of demand for audio products. He added that Toshiba wanted to tap into the opportunity to cater to this demand for affordable audio products such as wireless earphones, gaming headset, portable speakers, sound bars, portable CD players and CD/USB radios.
Toshiba in India
Toshiba has been operating in India since some time now and has earned the image of a quality technology firm. With its launching of the all-new RZE series of headphones and earphones, it aims to maintain its impression while also targeting to establish a stronger retail and dealer network in India. The VP said that Toshiba’s target is to provide a good service at a good amount in the highly competitive audio segment.
Toshiba-TeknoDome partnership
Toshiba recently tied up with a consumer electronics distributor TeknoDome to distribute the newly launched audio products in India with the support of retail chains, distributors, online e-tailers across the country. The electronics major will be focusing on both online and offline sales of its products, thereby boosting its network expansion in the country.
RZE-series
This series comprises gaming handsets, foldable wireless and wired headset, true wireless Bluetooth Earphone, wireless magnetic and wired earphone. The gaming handsets are equipped with virtual surround software. The company has also launched light weight Bluetooth speakers TY-WSP21, which are water resistant and two new models of portable speakers – TY-ASC400 and TY-ASC60 having an output of 400W and 60W, respectively.
