As per a report by Economic Times, Tesla Inc is in talks with at least three Indian auto component suppliers as part of its plans to enter the local market. It said that Tesla is seeking critical electrical, electronic and mechanical componentsciting people familiar with the matter. The parts include instrument panels, windshields, differential brakes, gears and power seats, it added.
The Economic Times also said that Sona Comstar Ltd., Sandhar Technologies Ltd. and Bharat Forge Ltd. are among Indian companies already supplying components to Tesla. Tesla didn’t respond to queries by the paper on the talks.
