The new Linea ML models by Teledyne DALSA serve the most demanding applications of the industry
Teledyne DALSA, a global leader in high performance digital imaging and semiconductors, has launched a newest range of Linea cameras that are specifically designed for highly demanding vision applications of the industry.
The new Linea ML models are the most advanced multiline CMOS cameras that will change the way line scan cameras are used. These are incorporated with options for HDR/monochrome, colour and multispectral imaging for several applications of machine vision.
Ideal for highly demanding vision applications
Commenting on the development, Xing-Fei He, Senior Product Manager, Teledyne DALSA, said, “The new Linea ML cameras are ideal for the industry’s highly demanding vision applications, where resolution, throughput and detectability matter. Their unparalleled speeds, advanced capabilities and features are unmatched in the industry.”
“In addition to monochrome/HDR imaging, customers are able to capture multifield (brightfield, darkfield and backlit) images in a single scan with pulsed lighting using monochrome models. These new models are also able to capture RGB or RGB+NIR images in a single scan with continuous wave lighting using color or multispectral models,” He said.
Advanced features
The Linea ML cameras are based on the advanced CMOS sensor technology of Teledyne DALSA and can deliver amazing images at a line rate of up to 300 kHz by using the next-gen Camera Link HS (CLHS) fiber optic interface.
The sequential exposure feature of the camera with independent stop and start integration for each channel enables versatile illumination configurations utilising the modern LED lighting technology. These new Linea ML models can address the most demanding applications of the industry with improved detectability, when joined with high-performance frame grabbers of Xtium™2 CLHS series.
Based on field-proven technology, the Linea ML’s next-gen CLHS fiber optic interface gives high throughput and reliable data transmission. Fiber optic cables reduces system costs, are immune to electromagnetic radiation, provide longer cable lengths (up to 300 m), and makes the cameras ideal for harsh industrial environments. The new Linea ML models will be available in the market by the end of this year.
