In 2023, she received the prestigious Gold Medal for Excellent Performance in Mountaineering from the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. Baljeet’s remarkable feats include being the first Indian to conquer seven peaks towering above 8000 meters. She also holds the distinction of being the first Indian woman to ascend Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, and Mount Manaslu, all achieved without supplemental oxygen, demonstrating extraordinary courage, unyielding determination, and unwavering resilience.
