SUN Mobility collaborates with Bluwheelz to provide retrofit kits for Tata ACE vehicles, aiming to convert these vehicles to electric. This partnership enhances the adoption of electric vehicles by offering a conversion solution for existing Tata ACE models.
SUN Mobility, a player in sustainable energy solutions, has teamed up with Bluwheelz to introduce retrofit kits for Tata ACE vehicles. This partnership offers fleet operators the option to convert their existing Tata ACE vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICE) or fixed batteries to electric vehicles (EVs) equipped with SUN Mobility’s advanced battery swapping technology.
The initiative was launched at an event attended by Tata ACE fleet operators and financial backers. The retrofit kits are placed as a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new diesel or CNG vehicles. Officials indicate that operators could see monthly cost savings of approximately 30% when switching from CNG vehicles and about 40% when transitioning from diesel vehicles.
The electric Tata ACE, powered by SUN Mobility’s swappable battery technology, promises a longer vehicle lifespan, lower operational costs, and improved uptime. The ability to operate during restricted entry hours in areas like Delhi is highlighted as a key benefit for enhancing productivity.
This retrofit option is also positioned as a strategic response to government mandates for electric vehicle conversion, allowing businesses to comply without significant investments in new vehicles.
Anant Badjatya, CEO of SUN Mobility, announced that the initiative would start in the National Capital Region (NCR) and later expand to additional states. Sanjiv Gupta, Founder and Chairman of Bluwheelz, endorsed the partnership, emphasizing the retrofit kits as an effective means to transition to electric vehicles, reduce carbon emissions, and boost operational efficiency.
The event also served as a platform for fleet operators to discuss their perspectives on adopting electric vehicles, fostering a collaborative environment for stakeholders.
