STMicroelectronics has been recognised for leadership in corporate sustainability by global environmental non-profit CDP, securing a place on its prestigious ‘A List’ for tackling climate change. STMicroelectronics is one of a small number of high-performing companies out of over 5,800 that were scored by CDP.
It said that through significant demonstrable actions and by implementing with transparency a range of initiatives, it is leading on corporate environmental ambitions, to cut emissions and to manage climate change within its own operations and its extended supply-chain.
Gold standard of corporate environmental transparency
CDP’s annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is widely recognised as the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency. In 2020, over 515 investors with over $106 trillion in assets and over 150 major purchasers with $4 trillion in procurement spend requested companies to disclose data on environmental impacts, risks and opportunities through CDP’s platform. It said that over 9,600 responded which is the highest ever.
