Sony shuts down operations in Japan

Operations at several Sony Corporation and Sony Group sites and facilities in Japan have been temporarily shut down following the earthquake and tsunami. Sony also has responded to reports of widespread power outages by voluntarily suspending operations at several sites. In addition, Sony Corporation Sendai Technology Center (Tagajyo, Miyagi) has ceased operations due to earthquake damage.
