SIPLACE COO, Günter Schindler, has made it to the “Top 100 people influencing electronics manufacturing services” in 2012, according to research by VentureOutsource.com, making SIPLACE the only representative of the equipment manufacturing segment to be included in the list.
Schindler’s ‘lead factory’ concept, which emphasises the close cooperation and physical proximity of R&D and production, was given special mention as an especially important and valuable accomplishment. His mention as one of the Top 100 is another affirmation of the successful integration of SIPLACE as a business unit into the ASM Group. SIPLACE is a prime example of what the successful combination of German engineering with Asian efficiency can accomplish in a business with strong local, regional and global teams.
VentureOutsource.com stresses the positive impact of the company on the entire industry: “[The lead factory concept] allows R&D to easily leverage the manufacturing arena to better educate the Company’s R&D teams to then enable SIPLACE to continually improve product innovation and performance and meet constantly evolving electronics OEM and EMS end-user market requirements.”
SIPLACE CEO Günter Lauber is also excited about the inclusion of his COO on the prestigious list: “We are all very proud of this honor and congratulate Günter Schindler, but most of all we are pleased about the outstanding cooperation in the global SIPLACE team, in which we demonstrate each day the strength of German engineering in development and production as well as the benefits of Asian flexibility and efficiency. Another major factor that is critical for our successful integration process and therefore for the success of the entire company is the high degree of appreciation that both SIPLACE and ASMPT have for their employees.”
