SIDBI plans to lend Rs 450 billion in FY14

Tuesday, July 02, 2013: According to a report, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) is eyeing disbursements of Rs 450 billion in 2013-14. Besides MSMEs, SIDBI also lends to micro finance institutions (MFIs), however, it is selective in lending to such institutions.

SIDBI has also taken the initiative to establish ‘SIDBI MSME International Training Centre’ in Bhubaneswar. The centre, apart from providing in-house training to its employees, will also provide expert guidance and training support to various stakeholders in the sector. The centre will offer entrepreneurship development programmes and certificates will be provided to the entrepreneurs on completion of training programmes.
