SEMI has compiled a 12-year data on semiconductors starting from 2011 to 2022 for the global electronics manufacturers of power and semiconductors
Global electronics industry association, SEMI has unveiled Power and Compound Fab Outlook, a report on comprehensive front-end semiconductor fab information and a forecast to 2022 for global manufacturing capabilities of power and compound semiconductors. The report is called the first worldwide data for power and semiconductors.
Report highlights
The Power and Compound Fab Outlook is a report that includes a 12-year long data from 2011 to 2022. It has more than 890 listings with 530 compound-related and over 430 power-related facilities. The report carries detail on the capacity and investments by wafer size, product type and regions as well as construction and equipment investments (by quarter) divided into the past, current and forecast segments.
Fab capacity (installed, by quarter), past, current, planned and expansion forecast, the Fab status including greenfield projects, fab closures and wafer size transition are also included in the report. SEMI has brought out the Power and Compound Fab Outlook with high-level summaries, tables, graphs, down to the company and fab details on various technologies as well such as LED, insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT), High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT) and other devices.
The SEMI report tracks more than 400 power device related facilities and over 500 compound related facilities worldwide including more than 45 new facilities and lines to start production in 2018 or later.
Compound materials
With compound materials driving significant gains in the energy efficiency of power devices, the Power and Compound Fab Outlook highlights the compound materials that have been adopted in the semiconductor fabs. Overall, the report can be useful for individuals who are interested in tool and material markets as well as power and compound materials capacity in fabs by region and wafer sizes.
