Electronics Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI) has organized various competitions at regional and national level to select the Indian representative in electronics skills at WorldSkills 2017 to be held in Abu Dhabi.
From about 1000 student from across the nation, only three students made it to the final round after a rigorous shortlisting process. The top three students namely Sumir Kumar Jha from Delhi, Harsha Prabakaran from Chennai and Keshav Aggarwal from Faridabad have proved their mettle in various domains of electronics. The second pre final round is hosted by the Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, Janakpuri to select the final two students.
The competition will last for four days wherein students will be tested on a 15 hour task based on different modules of electronics.The shortlisted candidates will be provided meticulous training in the cutting edge technologies along with the international exposures at electronic hubs like China, Finland etc.
The inaugural ceremony of the championship which took place on 5 th April, 2017 witnessed the presence of Sh. Rakesh Mathur, Sr. VP, ESSCI who quoted that “Electronics skills in India needs to be enhanced among individuals to accomplish the missions like “make In India and Digital India”. Mr. Naveen kumar (Technical Consultant), Mr. Yogender Pal Singh (Expert,Electronics Skill) and Director Dr. KP Chaudhary, MSIT event. The competition was managed and supported by the Emtech foundation, key supporting partner for the electronics skill competition.
