Indian company Samtel Avionics and South Korea’s Hanwha Systems (formerly Hanwha Thales) have entered an agreement to collaborate on a range of defence electronics for the Indian armed forces.
Samtel said in a press release on 13 February that its partnership with Hanwha Systems would be focused on areas including optronics, combat management systems, system engineering technologies, and sensors for armaments.
These products will be marketed to meet opportunities in Indian programmes to procure guided missile systems, radars, laser guided bombs, and electro-optical infrared solutions, said Samtel.
The partnership is focused on Hanwha transferring technologies to Samtel in order to produce the systems in India.
