South Korean multinational electronics company, Samsung recently hosted its first ever image sensor forum in New Delhi, India. Showcasing its latest image sensor products and technologies, the company promoted the theme, ‘Bring Alive Every Moment’.
Samsung shared its vision and strategy in addressing demands in the India’s image sensor market. The forum was attended by over 150 experts including partners and customers within the mobile imaging industry, including smartphone manufacturers and partners. Samsung believes that this initiative will help strengthen the company’s portfolio in the Indian mobile market.
The latest image sensor products and technologies include the smallest 1.0μm-pixel sensor, RWB (Red-White-Blue) color pattern technology, and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto-Focus).
Kyushik Hong, VP, marketing, System LSI Business at Samsung Electronics said, “Samsung has been constantly introducing innovative image sensor technologies to deliver optimum performance on today’s ever-slimming smartmobile devices. Gathering with industry leaders in India opens the door to further engagement and facilitates ongoing communication with ecosystem partners in supporting image sensor demands in India.”
According to reports, Samsung wants to strengthen the foothold in the India mobile market and plans to provide a diversity of image sensor solutions with strong performance and differentiated value that can add worth to the growth of country’s mobile industry.
