Rhydo Technologies has launched its GSM/GPRS modem—the TTL (5V).
Features and USP: It is built with a tri-band GSM/GPRS engine, and works on frequencies of EGSM 900 MHz, DCS 1800 MHz and PCS 1900 MHz. It is very compact in size and easy to use as a plug-in module. The modem allows you to connect directly to a 5V microcontroller/Arduino. The baud rate is configurable from 9600-115200 through AT commands. Its internal TCP/IP stack enables you to connect with the Internet via GPRS. It is suitable for SMS as well as data transfer applications in the M2M interface. The built-in switching power supply also allows users to connect with a wide range of unregulated power supplies. The board has a built-in SIM card holder, a power on LED and a network status LED. The hardware flow controlling pins are available at the connector. It is priced at Rs 3390.
