Reliance aims to bring India to the top 3 nations’ list in the fixed broadband index within the next 3 years by investing in the digital landscape
Reliance Industries has announced that it will make an additional investment of Rs. 3,000 crores across various businesses in Odisha in the next three years. While addressing the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018, Mukesh Ambani, MD, Reliance Industries, said that the company had emerged as one of the top investors in Odisha. He committed an amount of Rs. 3,000 crores in addition to its earlier commitment of around Rs. 6,000 crores investment.

To transform Odisha is one of the missions of Reliance Industries in the coming years. It is working on increasing the digital landscape of India. Ambani said that the company had been working with the Odisha state government on an initiative called “Mission Shakti” for the inclusion of women in the digital mainstream. The MD further said that the company has generated employment for about 30,000 people of Odisha.
He regarded Odisha as one of the highest data consuming states in India and Reliance has contributed to its digital growth by connecting the cities, towns and around 43,000 villages.
Make in Odisha Conclave 2018
The Make in Odisha Conclave is the investors’ summit that is organized twice a year. The five-day meet hosts industrialists, bankers and trade experts who discuss the various business and growth opportunities in Odisha. Investors across Japan, Germany, China, Italy, South Korea and Saudi Arabia have attended the summit this year.
Ambani, while addressing the conclave said that the world had stepped into the era of digital revolution and Reliance was committed to providing the highest quality at the most affordable price. He further shared the company’s aim with the audience which is ensuring India shines in the top 3 nations in fixed broadband in the next 3 years from the current 135th rank.
