Refusol is looking to manufacture string inverters for the Indian, South Asian and Middle East markets at its production unit in the country. “EPCs and investors like the concept of our high efficiency inverters, which is not only giving them capital cost benefits but also help them to reduce the operational cost of plant and getting 2 to 3 per cent more generation benefits. With our local production here in Pune we are now able to meet our customer’s needs even better and in shorter time,” said Thomas Wittek, CEO, Refu Solar Electronics Pvt Ltd. Currently the facility is getting prepared for production.
Refusol has introduced its light, compact and powerful string inverter Refusol 020K. The three-phase string inverter is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. With a rated AC power of 19.2 kW, the compact inverter Refusol 020K, smoothly integrates into solar installations, helping them reach maximum output. The inverter belongs to the 8 to 20 kW series that is specifically made for rooftop systems and solar parks, from 8 kW up to multi-megawatts. The inverter features silicon carbide (SCI) technology and a peak efficiency of 98.7 per cent.
The company also brings its central inverters the Refusol 333K, which has 333kW of nominal power and the patented UltraEta circuit topology. This inverter reaches a peak efficiency of over 98.4 per cent, which allows for optimised energy conversion and usage.
The Refusol 333K features a higher AC-voltage of 690 V, which is the established standard voltage level in industrial networks and wind power plants. It also features a higher DC-voltage of up to 1500 V. Due to this high input voltage, longer strings can be realized, which means less loss with the same power consequently this concept of higher voltages increases the efficiency of the whole PV system.
