Ramkrishna Forgings has obtained the green light from its board of directors to invest INR 57.5 crore in establishing an aluminium forging plant in Jamshedpur. This plant is designed to primarily serve the electric vehicle (EV) market and will boast an annual production capacity of 3,000 metric tons. It is scheduled to begin operations by the second quarter of the fiscal year 2026. The facility is projected to contribute an additional INR 175 crore in annual revenue at full capacity.
This strategic expansion into aluminium forging aligns with the company’s objectives to boost vehicle performance, enhance fuel efficiency, and minimize environmental impact. Naresh Jalan, Managing Director of Ramkrishna Forgings, expressed enthusiasm about the venture, emphasizing its significant role in advancing the company’s presence in the EV market.
