Tuesday, February 18, 2014: The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) has announced that PVG Menon, president of the organisation since mid-2011, would be stepping down from his position w.e.f. 31 March, 2014.
IESA, the premier trade body, representing the Indian Electronic System Design and Manufacturing, has also announced that it is formed a search committee to look for the new president. The search committee shall be headed by IESA Chairman Sanjeev Keskar.
In a press statement released by the organsation, Keskar said, “PVG Menon has contributed immensely to the further advancement of IESA’s goals and mission during his brief and impactful tenure as President. We shall miss his dynamic leadership and wish him all the very best for his future endeavours.”
Speaking about the decision, Menon said, “It has indeed been a privilege to lead the IESA through the transition from a pure-play semiconductor and embedded systems body, to embracing the larger goal of providing leadership to the electronics systems industry. I’m glad to have been given the opportunity to transform the organization and make it more broad-based and relevant to the industry. I am confident that IESA is very well placed to scale even greater heights with it’s dedicated and dynamic team.”
