President recognises efforts to promote electronics

President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, in his address to both the houses of the Parliament on Feb 21, 2013, recognised
the efforts being taken by the government to promote the electronics industry particularly electronics manufacturing in the country. Pointing attention to the sector, he said that the National Policy on Electronics covers a comprehensive set of schemes with special focus on promoting domestic Electronics System Design and Manufacturing.
