Mumbai-based EV startup PMV Electric recently launched its EaS-E (Eco-Friendly and Sustainable – Electric) car in India. It claims to be India’s most affordable electric vehicle. The company said that for the first 10,000 customers, the ex-showroom price of this fully electric smart microcar is ₹4.79 lakh. Reportedly, EaS-E is the smallest electric car in the country, with space for two adults and one child at a time.
It has been learnt that this EV is offered with three battery options and a minimum of 120kms on a single charge. PMV EaS-E can be charged from any 15A outlet, and the maker is providing a3 kW AC charger. Moreover, the car offers around 13 hp of maximum power and 50 Nm of peak torque. With a top speed of 70 kmph, it claims to clock from zero to 40 kmph within five seconds. As per the company, the EV also offers different riding modes and Bluetooth connectivity. Interestingly, PMV’s Eas-E Connect app can be used to remotely park this car in tight parking spots. Also, it gets a Feet Free mode in which the EV can be operated just by the thumb controls on the steering wheel amid stop-and-go traffic.

This will be a milestone for the company, as we have created a world-class product manufactured by an Indian company. We look forward to introduce a new segment, called Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV), which is aimed at everyday use.”
