With the latest delivery of e-buses, the company has expanded its reach to 27 Indian cities
One of India’s leading electric bus manufacturers and fleet operators, PMI Electro Mobility recently said that it has delivered 15 electric buses in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala. As per the deal, PMI Electro Mobility will provide 50 electric buses to Himachal Road Transport Corporation for Dharamshala and maintain them for a period of 10 years. The company said that it will lead to an overall reduction of 14,000 tons of CO2 over the contract term. The CM of the state, Shri Sukhvinder Singh ‘Sukhu’ flagged off the electric buses.
It is noteworthy that earlier, PMI delivered 50 e-buses in the capital city of Shimla and manages the fleet. Proud to take the total count of PMI buses in Himachal Pradesh to 65 with the latest delivery, the company’s chairman, Satish Jain dedicated these buses to the state. He said, “PMI is committed to providing world-class electric buses with advanced features such as air suspension, real-time monitoring system through CCTV cameras, pre-emptive diagnostics, and more, through their indigenous technology. PMI will operate and manage these buses with tech-enabled electric bus depots for the efficient running of buses to provide citizens of Dharamshala with reliable services.”
He believes that these electric buses will help the state avoid over 1,800 tons of CO2 emissions every year, thus contributing to the clean energy revolution in India. The company claims that its buses are equipped with features such as air suspension and real-time diagnostics and each of its buses can save 28,000 kg of CO2 every year.
