Pioneer India has launched a new series of AI-enhanced dashcams designed specifically for Indian roads, equipped with sophisticated safety features and integrated with a mobile application.
Pioneer India, a branch of the Japanese multinational Pioneer Corporation, has recently unveiled a new collection of dash cameras under its Mobility AI range. Tailored to address the unique challenges of Indian roads, these cameras aim to bolster automotive safety and security across the country.
The newly launched VREC Dash Camera series consists of four distinct models: VREC-H120SC, VREC-H320SC, VREC-H520DC, and VREC-Z820DC. Each model is equipped with innovative features such as AI Night Vision, ADAS Alerts, and Enhanced Parking Monitoring, enabling them to capture high-resolution video footage. These cameras not only record continuous visual evidence that can be critical during accidents or disputes but also provide all-day security for the vehicle.
The series offers a spectrum of models with varying capabilities and price points, starting from ₹5,399 for the basic version up to ₹23,499 for the most advanced model. Users can manage and interact with their dash cameras through Pioneer’s dedicated mobile app, which facilitates video review, travelogue creation, and camera setting adjustments.
Dash cams are small, in-vehicle cameras that continuously record the view through the vehicle’s front windscreen and sometimes rear or other windows. Their core function is to provide impartial evidence in the event of an accident, theft, or vandalism, which can be pivotal for insurance claims, legal matters, or dispute resolution.
Additionally, dash cams provide several other advantages such as capturing spontaneous events, scenic drives, monitoring vehicle speed and location, and some advanced models include safety features like lane departure warnings or collision alerts. For businesses, especially those managing fleets, dashcams are valuable tools for monitoring driving practices and enhancing overall vehicle safety protocols.
