Lighting solutions firm, Philips Lighting has announced the launch of its 11th Philips Light Lounge in Chennai. The new Lounge is an exclusive branded retail store for the entire home lighting range by Philips.
The new Philips store is Located at Nungambakkam High Road in Chennai. The Lounge was inaugurated by Harsh Chitale, CEO, Philips Lighting, south Asia.
Philips Light Lounge is an experience zone which gives customers a ‘see, touch and feel’ experience in an interactive manner. The company is bullish about its plans to consolidate its retail presence and market leadership in South India and this new light lounge in Chennai is a step in that direction. The Philips range of LED lighting solutions have been designed, keeping in mind the lighting requirements of Indian consumers, home décor trends in the country and also the emerging concept of connected ambient lighting. LEDs are currently a major contributor in the growth of Indian lighting industry, rising at a CAGR (computed annual growth rate) of 45.53 per cent.
Commenting on the inauguration, Harsh Chitale, CEO, Philips Lighting, south Asia, said, “Our data shows that the south market, especially Chennai has consistently witnessed tremendous response and fast adoption of sophisticated LED lighting and newer concepts of connected lighting. With the launch of the newest Philips Light Lounge in Chennai, the company now has more than 121 Light Lounges in India, in addition to Light Shoppes in the country.
