Philips has launched an all-new VideoTracer that is equipped with an integrated motion sensor to offer high-quality video for security purposes
Philips-owned Speech Processing Solutions has launched its first body-worn video and audio recorder to capture video in sharp and vivid detail for a clear and impartial evidence. The electronic VideoTracer, DVT3120 claims to offer 170-degree angle coverage of clear footage.
Technology
The device has an integrated high-quality microphone that is said to capture the audio clearly and for maximum evidence accuracy and tracking, every recording can be watermarked with a date, time, user ID and GPS location. Its snapshot function allows the user to capture photos while recording, without interrupting the video sequence.
Dr Thomas Brauner, CEO of Speech Processing Solutions said that with the help of this device, the law enforcement and security professionals can enjoy a peace of mind while on duty. “If something unexpected happens, it’s all on camera,” he added.
Extra durability for every situation
The Philips VideoTracer can be conveniently attached in various ways to a jacket or uniform using an adjustable mounting clip. The built-in powerful battery lasts all working day and the robust housing is ready for any weather condition. Its Night-Vision Mode enables high-quality video recording in low-light situations. It has an additional feature of waterproof.
Integrated motion sensor
The body-worn camera comes with an integrated motion sensor which, when activated, automatically starts recording when an object enters the field of view. The pre- and post-recording functions further permit users to spontaneously record important parts of incidents and never miss a moment, even after the stop recording button has been pressed. The user can playback recorded video and audio files instantly using the 2-inch LCD screen and built-in speaker.
